Unpaid Coach ("we", "our", "us") operates the web application at unpaidcoach.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Account Information

When you create an account via our authentication provider (Clerk), we receive your name, email address, and profile information. We store your user identifier to associate your data with your account.

Team and Player Data

You provide player names, positions, availability, match results, notes, and other coaching data. This data is stored to provide the Service.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage analytics (via PostHog) to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. This may include pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. Paddle processes payments in accordance with their own privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To process subscriptions and billing through Paddle
• To generate AI-powered tactical reports (Pro feature)
• To send important service-related communications
• To improve the Service based on aggregated usage patterns

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Paddle — payment processing (Merchant of Record)
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics
• AI providers — to generate tactical reports, we send anonymized match and player data to our AI provider. No personally identifiable information is included.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Coaching Staff and Shared Data

When multiple coaches are on the same team, they share access to player and match data for that team. Each coach's private assessments, notes, and performance reviews are visible only to them and are never shared with other coaches.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records).

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure database access. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to certain processing activities
